Dr. Bilkhu grew up in Brampton, Ontario and obtained her Bachelors of Science degree at Wilfrid Laurier University. She graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2019 where she was awarded Colleague of the Year, Clinical Honors Recognition, and the Dr. H.J. Luckhardt Memorial Scholarship. She completed externships focusing on ocular disease management in Chicago, Los Angeles, and Daytona.
Dr. Bilkhu then completed a Vision Therapy and Rehabilitation residency at UC Berkeley School of Optometry. Throughout her residency education, Dr. Bilkhu managed patients with amblyopia, strabismus, binocular vision dysfunction, concussion, and vision-related learning challenges.
After her residency, Dr. Bilkhu moved back to the Greater Toronto Area to serve her community, providing optometric services to families in Brampton, Bolton, and Vaughan.
In addition, Dr. Bilkhu is the creator of the popular optometry podcast, Four Eyes. She interviews influential optometrists and ophthalmologists who are making a difference in the profession, and shares her optometric clinical knowledge along with her co-hosts. In her spare time, she enjoys watching comedy shows, traveling, and finding ‘hole-in-the-wall’ eateries!
Dr. Manraj Fervaha was born and raised in the Greater Toronto Area. He completed his bachelor’s degree in Honours biomedical sciences at the University of Waterloo. He always had a passion for helping others and found that pursuing optometry would provide a fulfilling career.
Dr. Fervaha then completed his Doctor of Optometry at the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago where he graduated with Cum Laude honors. He was given the opportunity to rotate through various clinics including the Alfred and Sara Rosenbloom Center in Chicago, the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA and the Ophthalmic Consultants of Connecticut. In recognition of his academic achievements he was selected to be part of the Tomb & Key Honors and Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honors Society.
During his clinical experience, Dr. Fervaha gained diverse experience in advanced care and ocular disease management. Furthermore, he has extensive experience in surgical co-management, pediatric eye exams and contact lens fittings. He has completed thousands of eye exams and is able to communicate fluently in English and Punjabi. Dr. Fervaha is a proud member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists and is in good standing with the College of Optometrists of Ontario.
In his free time, Dr. Fervaha enjoys playing basketball, watching sports and travelling to different destinations with his wife.
Dr. Fervaha is passionate about eye care and always strives to place a strong emphasis on patient education and patient care.
